چکیده

Cayenne pepper is one of the important vegetables and has high economic value. This plant can be cultivated in various types soil lowlands to highlands. Chilies are very much liked by Indonesian people because it spicy contains nutrients vitamins. The purpose this study was determine productivity resistance yellow curly leaf disease Blaze 12 varieties compared comparison varieties. demand for chili continues increase from year but production not optimal. Efforts crop have several obstacles related seed quality, cultivation technique, pest attacks. Pepper curl virus (PYLCV) a that reduce cause failure. One ways improve quality through breeding process support other characters such as disease.Testing variety final stage before released commercialized. results analysis variance showed significant effect on characters: length, width, fruit diameter, skin thickness, weight per fruit, number yield hectare. Resistance same VP-3 better than VP-1 VP-2, which with mild symptoms. character cayenne closely area.

Phenotypic and Molecular Screening of Tomato Germplasm for Resistance to Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus

Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is a major tomato virus in tropical and subtropical regions. In this study, 134 accessions of Solanum lycopersicum and six accessions of Solanum peruvianum were assessed for resistance to an Iranian isolate of TYLCV. Plants were inoculated using whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci) and the reaction of plants was evaluated based on either disease symptoms or viral DN...

Microarray analyses for identifying genes conferring resistance to pepper leaf curl virus in chilli pepper (Capsicum spp.)

Pepper leaf curl virus (PepLCV) is a serious threat to pepper (Capsicum spp.) production worldwide. Molecular mechanism underlying pepper plants response to PepLCV infection is key to develop PepLCV resistant varieties. In this study, we generated transcriptome profiles of PepLCV resistant genotype (BS-35) and susceptible genotype (IVPBC-535) after artificial viral inoculation using microarray ...

IDENTIFICATION OF MOLECULAR MARKERS LINKED TO LEAF CURL VIRUS DISEASE RESISTANCE IN COTTON

The identification of molecular markers linked to leaf curl virus (CLCuV) disease resistance in cotton has the potential to improve both the efficiency and the efficacy of selection in cotton breeding programs. Genetic analysis suggested that CLCuV resistance is controlled by a single dominant gene. In this study, an interspecific F2 population derived from a cross of Gossypium barbadense and G...

THE EFFECT OF DIETARY CAYENNE PEPPER SUPPLEMENTATION ON THE METABOLIC DYSREGULATION OF RATS IN VIVO Running Head: Effects of cayenne pepper on metabolic dysregulation

Background: Metabolic dysregulation is a hallmark of diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, Cancer, and Cardiovascular disease (1). Purpose: In this study, we assessed whether dietary capsaicin in the form of cayenne pepper improves the risk factors of metabolic dysregulation in atherogenic diet-fed rats with inflammation. Procedure: Forty rats were divided into four groups with 50% consuming a cont...
